Special lady: Patrick Kielty has confirmed his relationship with Cat Deeley
They are possibly one of the most unlikely couples to come out of the showbiz world for a long time.
But last night, after refusing to comment on rumours of a romance, Patrick Kielty confirmed his relationship with Cat Deeley.
Irish comedian Patrick, 41, was talking to friends at the Electric House members' club when he made the admission.
An onlooker told MailOnline: 'Patrick was there talking to a group of friends when somebody asked him if there was a special lady in his life.
'He looked slightly sheepish and then said, "Yeah, Cat". When one of the men said asked, "Cat who?" he replied, "Cat Deeley".'
The pair were seen earlier this month flying back from Cabo San Lucas after a romantic break - their second holiday together.
Loved up: Cat and Patrick together on Valentine's Day in Los Angeles
Lunch date: Patrick looked completely smitten with his girlfriend as they enjoyed a meal out together
The holiday came after Patrick took Cat to visit his family to meet his family in Dundrum, Co Down last November.
Patrick and Cat, 35, who have already earned themselves the affectionate moniker 'PatCat', have been friends since they hosted one of the original TV talent shows Fame Academy together from 2002.
Patrick split from his long-term girlfriend Amanda Byram in 2003, while Cat's most recent relationship was with True Blood star Michael McMillian.
Speaking about being unlucky in love recently, Cat said: 'I haven’t found my Prince Charming yet – and I’ve kissed a few frogs too!
'There are fit men everywhere, so it’s just a case of finding them.
'I’m working my way through them, one at a time!”
'Maybe I see myself with kids, given the right place and right moment, with the right person.'
Meanwhile, Patrick said in a recent interview that he would like 2012 to be the year he ties the knot.
He said: 'I think that might be my new year’s resolution – to get married.'
He's my man: Has unlucky in love Cat finally found her Prince Charming?
Co-hosts: Cat and Patrick first worked together on Fame Academy back in 2002
