Stars collide: Shia LeBeouf and Joe Jonas almost brush shoulders at Sunset Plaza in Hollywood today


If you once imagined that in Hollywood you bump into celebrities every day only to be disabused of this notion, this picture is for you.

Because today, in a fairly quiet area of Hollywood called Sunset Plaza, Joe Jonas and Shia LaBeouf nearly bumped into each other on the street.

Jonas, 21 , as you can see below, is pulling the same face we all do when we've a) seen someone we know but don't want to talk to, or b) seen someone we know but are unsure if they remember/know who we are.


Transformers star LeBeouf on the other hand, seems genuinely not to have noticed the singing Puritan.

The 25-year-old is, of course, regarded as one of the coolest men in the film industry today, so perhaps LaBeouf was simply rocking his poker face.

And he was heading determinedly to Cafe Med, which serves the most delicious pasta in Hollywood, so perhaps hunger was driving him on.

Those of you familiar with L.A and the love of automobiles which renders walking a less acceptable pursuit in the community than even smoking, or heaven forbid, ageing, will wonder what the two stars are doing on foot.

In Los Angeles, skinny gym fanatics will scream in agony if they're forced to walk more than three metres to a restaurant, and that's the non-celebrities.

So we have to clear up the fact that the Shia was leaving the parking lot as Joe headed back to his car with his team.

Sunset Plaza is also Hollywood's high street, every town has one, only in this case KFC is replaced with Mirabelle.

Joe dined at the equally high-end Japanese restaurant, Katsuya, in Hollywood the night before after he attended the premiere of 30 Minutes or Less.

Shia will head to Vancouver, Canada, next month to begin production on his political thriller, The Company You Keep, and has grown his hair and beard for the role.

Toned: Joe Jonas showed off an impressive physique on the beach in Hawaii yesterday


In just pairs of blacHe was recently spotted in the midst of a strenuous workout with his trainer.

And it appears that Joe Jonas' hard work has paid off, as 21-year-old showed off an impressive physique in Hawaii, yesterday.

The singer and his18-year-old brother Nick went shirtless as they hit the beach on the island of Maui.


In just pairs of black board shorts, the boys tanned their ripped torsos whilst relaxing under the Hawaiian sun.

Surprisingly Jonas Brothers stars weren't surrounded by a throng of female fans, who are usually clambering to rip the stars shirts off.

Nick and Joe tossed a football around the sand for a spot of afternoon leisure.
Joe also went for a walk with the youngest brother, 10-year-old Frankie, who was also on the trip.

The pop singer brothers were also later spotted taking a dip in the ocean.

Joe was thrilled to visit the tropical island for the first time, and on Wednesday took to his Twitter to tells his fans: 'Was in the desert yesterday morning. Now in paradise. :) :) chillinnnnn ....'

Meanwhile his brother Nick simply wrote, "So blessed these days..'.

This is the first time that the boys have visited the tropical state.

In an interview for the April issue of Details magazine, he admitted: 'We've seen every state in America besides Alaska and Hawaii, been all over Europe.'

Joe and Nick also thrilled fans when they ventured out last night in tight fitting t-shirts and vests on the island's popular shopping strip Front Street in Lahaina.

Joe who recently broke up with ex-girlfriend, actress Ashely Greene, is certainly looking fit as he also showed off his muscular physique in his fitted printed t-shirt.

Earlier this month he was spotted being put through his paces in a boot-camp style work-out with his trainer.

Jogging hard while his trainer watched on, the strain showed in Joe's face.

He was also forced face down in the grass to do set of strenuous push-ups.

And judging by his fit physique, Joe is certainly getting results with his regime.

Joe's ex-Ashley recently labelled her now ex-boyfriend a 'superstud' in this month's edition of U.S. Glamour.

But she may now be cringing at the interview now that the couple have split.

The Twilight actress gushed about the pop star in the magazine published a few weeks after the couple ended their relationship.

Asked about her 'super-foxy boyfriend' the 24-year-old corrects the reporter by saying: 'Superstud.'

Greene had been dating the Jonas Brothers singer since last summer but they broke up last month.

In the interview the actress says it wasn't love at first sight.

'A friendship developed first,' she said, 'and that's the most important thing for me.'If you are going to be with someone all the time, they need to be your best friend... You need to be able to talk about the difficult things.'

But there was one thing that Greene says she didn't want to talk to Joe about - his ex-girlfriends.

The singer's past loves include country star Taylor Swift and actress Demi Lovato.

But Ashley seems to have banned all talk of any past lovers.

She says: 'I don't want us to talk about our ex-boyfriends or ex-girlfriends. The past is the past. As long as it's not a mass-murderer past!

'You're with the person who you're with as they are now.'
Now Joe is in Ashley's past. Since the split she has been linked to Captain America star Chris Evans.

And in an embarrassing coincidence Ashley's interview was published a few days after Joe praised his former girlfriend in Details magazine. He said the actress puts 'my feelings first.'

He told the publication that their relationship 'feels good'.

'I think what works about it is she really puts my feelings first. She understands my busy schedule. She'll fly out to my shows - she's been to places in South America that I can't even pronounce.'

In the same interview the singer has also laughed off rumours about his sexuality, telling an interviewer: 'I'm not gay.'

'There's nothing wrong with being gay,' he told the magazine, laughing, 'but I'm not.'

Taking the joke a little further Joe also appeared in a YouTube video in which he donned a leotard and heels while dancing to Beyonce's hit Single Ladies to square a bet with some friends.

Meanwhile Joe is planning to write songs about all his ex-girlfriend for his next solo album.

As well as Ashley, he also dated country music star Swift, Disney actress Lovato, and Hollywood star Camilla Belle.
