All at sea: David Beckham and Gordon Ramsay sit on sand bags as they watch their children kids play in the Malibu surf yesterday
They might have multi-millions between them, but fathers Gordon Ramsay and David Beckham showed today that they still enjoy the simple pleasures in life.
The Michelin-starred chef and the footballing legend took time out from their hectic schedules yesterday to take their children down to the beach where they enjoyed a good chinwag while their charges played.
The Beckhams have rented a beachfront mansion for the summer holidays and are making the most of living on the usually sunny shores of the Pacific ocean, even if it was a bit overcast and breezy yesterday.
While David, 36, sat with Gordon, his three sons – Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz – hit the surf.
Victoria, 37, meanwhile appeared to be staying in the shade with four-week-old daughter Harper Seven.
Gordon meanwhile appeared to have taken along daughters Megan, 12, and Matilda, 10, as well as twins Jack and Holly, 11.
I see no ships: The two proud fathers kept a close eye on their charges in between having a good chinwag on the seashore
The Beckham's seven-bedroom rented house – which is owned by Steven Spielberg – is worth £25million and is said to cost £93,000 a month to stay there.
All the more reason for the Beckhams to invite their friends over and of course, the Ramsays are incredibly close to the family.
David and Gordon certainly have a lot to talk about right now.
All at sea: The Beckham and Ramsay children were having fun hitting the Californian surf on what was a rather breezy and overcast day
David may have been asking Gordon advice about baby Harper Seven, his first daughter - and Gordon, 44, has a lot on his mind right now too.
It was revealed on Friday that he had declared war on his wife Tana’s family by suing her father, mother, sister, brother, brother’s wife — and even her father’s alleged mistress.
All six were named in an explosive writ lodged at the High Court containing a blizzard of claims from the celebrity chef.
Ramsay wants millions in compensation from father-in-law Chris Hutcheson whom he sacked as chief executive of his restaurant empire — after a host of allegations against his one-time mentor.
Suited and booted: Gordon had scrubbed up to take wife Tana to the Fox All-Star Party in Pacific Palisades, California, on Friday night
They include allegations that Hutcheson hacked into Ramsay’s personal and company files and that he had wrongly withdrawn £1.42 million from the company to fund a double life with a secret second ‘wife’ and family.
Gordon also claims Hutcheson paid his mistress £5,000 a month for doing nothing and put his real wife and son on the company payroll too, and wrote five-figure cheques to himself.
Despite his troubles, Gordon is still thought to be on course to open the latest in his chain of restaurants.
Surf's up: The Michelin-starred chef had joined David and his sons for some boogie boarding last week
Bread Street Kitchen, the newest restaurant at One New Change, London, is set to open next month.
Gordon had also visited his close friend David at his Malibu house last week and the fathers had joined in with the surfing fun that time.
