Katie Price has been offered a refund by Sandals after complaining about how the resort ruined her wedding, but only if she never books with them again.
The glamour model had written in her column this morning that she was left disgusted by the way she and her new husband Kieran Hayler had been treated by the staff at the Sandals Royal Bahamian resort and spa, even alleging she was asked if she was a porn star by one employee.
However, in an official statement, Sandals have refuted the mother-of-three's allegations, saying they would give her the money back if she was happy never to return to one of their resorts in the future.
Trouble and strife: Katie Price slammed the Sandals Bahamas resort after marrying Kieran Hayler there last weekend
The statement read: 'Sandals Resorts is disappointed that Ms Price was not happy with her stay and as a gesture of goodwill are willing to offer her a refund on condition that she does not choose our resorts for any future weddings or stays.'
Sandals also said that while they had offered Ms Price a private location in which to get married, she had instead opted to have the ceremony in full view of photographers.
They continued: 'The team were thoroughly understanding and accommodating of Ms Price’s request for privacy, offering use of the resort’s private offshore island, Sandals Cay, for her wedding ceremony and the duration of her stay.
A wash out: Price said that the venue used plastic sunbeds and a member of staff asked her if she was a porn star
Fun in the sun: Sandals resort claim to have offered Katie Price a private beach for her wedding, but she declined it for a public one instead
'However, Ms Price declined this offer, and against the Sandals team’s advice opted instead to hold the ceremony on the public beach where she was photographed by paparazzi.'
Katie expressed her disappointment over the wedding vacation in her column in The Sun newspaper on Friday morning.
She wrote: 'Sandals my a**e. It was more like a smelly old flip-flop.'
Katie and Kieran were given a butler as part of their wedding package deal, but the hired help apparently asked if Price was a porn star after she had inquired if there was a private beach she could sunbathe on.
However, Sandals contested: 'Her dedicated butler, who is used to dealing with VIP’s, denies making any derogatory remarks.
Young love: Katie and Kieran, pictured in December 2012, were given a plastic tent to host their wedding in
'Sandals has been welcoming guests through its doors for over three decades and prides itself on excellent service, award winning product and has one of the highest returning guest rates in the industry.'
Although the venue had been recommended by her friend Michelle Heaton, the description in the brochure didn't match the reality of the resort, according to Katie.
She said: 'Our wedding tent was made of plastic too. It looked like it had come straight out of a B&Q flat pack and we saw it being wheeled out for one wedding in a wheelbarrow.'
The mother-of-three also felt that the whole resort was more like an 18-30 holiday club than a romantic wedding destination.
Katie added: 'Nothing will ruin the happiness I've found with Kieran but I was so stressed out by the whole experience I came home with a cold sore on my lip.'
But the Sandals spokesperson said: 'Without an international profile, the resort team were oblivious of Ms Price’s fame and welcomed her with the award-winning service given to all its guests.
'Once at the resort Ms Price did identify herself to her dedicated Wedding Manager and explained her profile in the UK.'
