Family outing: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie took some of their six-strong brood to Cirque Du Soleil in Santa Monica last night
With their six-strong brood, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt could quite possibly start a circus of their own.
But the famous Hollywood couple and their children were happy to be spectators last night, as they attended a Cirque Du Soleil show in Santa Monica for a night of family fun.
The couple and members of their brood were seen at the popular OVO extravaganza, which is currently being performed in a big-top by the famous Santa Monica pier.
And it seems that Brad, 48, got into the spirit of the acrobatic show by wearing a black all-in-one jumpsuit.
Meanwhile his children including Shiloh, five, and Knox, three, wore a silly hats with multi-coloured spikes coming out of the top.
Shy little Shiloh stayed close to both her mother and father and contently sucked on her thumb.
Big time fun: The couple and their children were seen on a VIP tour of the big top backstage
The youngster, who recently had her hair cut in a very short hairstyle, wore a tomboyish outfit consisting of a skull and cross bones T-shirt, a grey cardigan and charcoal trousers.
Her glamourous mother meanwhile looked gorgeous in a cream silk shirt, black skinny trousers tucked into leather knee-high boots and a sophisticated long black coat.
The stunning star wore her caramel locks out in a natural straight style and shielded her eyes from the sun down with some cool aviator sunglasses, a close match to her man's.
Hands-on mother: Angelina carried Knox and held hands with Shiloh
Back in black: Both Angelina and Brad wore black for the family outing, with the father-of-six getting into the spirit of the acrobatic show in a jumpsuit
Her other daughter Zahara, seven, had also joined the group, looking girly in a denim skirt worn over leggings paired with a pretty pink singlet.
It appeared that the clan received a private VIP tour of the big top as they were spotted being shown around the backstage area.
The happy family outing comes as Brad made a dramatic U-turn earlier this week, admitting he'd like to wed the mother of his six children.
In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar-nominated actor gushed over his partner of seven years and said: 'I don't think we'll be able to hold out.'
But in an interview with CBS Sunday Morning today, the Academy Award nominee went further and admitted that his six children are begging him to propose to In the Land of Blood and Honey director.
And they want their father to make it official with a piece of jewellery, which Brad has sensationally agreed to do.
'We're getting a lot of pressure from the kids,' he said. 'It means something to them.'
And when his brood of six - Maddox, 10, Pax, eight, Zahara, Shiloh, and Knox and Vivienne, three asked him to 'get mommy a ring,' Brad said he acquiesced and said: 'Okay, I will! I will.'
However, despite his U-turn after saying they wouldn't wed until gay marriage was legal in all US states, he reiterated his support for that right.
'But to be in love with someone and be raising a family with someone and want to make that commitment and not be able to is ludicrous, just ludicrous.'
On the Ellen DeGeneres show in September, Brad told the host: 'I've said that we would not be getting married until everyone in this county has the right to get married.
'We live in this great country that is about freedom. It is defined by our freedom and equality and yet we allow this discrimination to go on everyday and that's not what we're about. That's not what makes us great. Until that is reversed. I just don't get it.'
The couple started dating after starring in the 2004 film, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, while Brad was still married to Friends star Jennifer Aniston.
In April 2005, two months after Jen filed for divorce, the first pictures emerged of the couple together on a beach win Kenya with Ange's son Maddox.
Coming together: The couple gathered their children up as they made their way around the grounds
Thumbsucker: Shy little Shiloh contently sucked on her thumb throughout the outing
Although he denies adultery, Brad has said he fell in love with the actress on set.
They pair are parents to biological children Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne, three.
They also have adopted children Maddox, 11, Pax, eight, and Zahara.
Brad, who was nominated for an Academy Award this week for his role in Moneyball, also revealed during the interview the couple may have more children.
'We haven’t closed the book on it,' he said.
Happy: Angelina basked in happiness throughout the outing
Lots of laughs: The actress was so jovial she even enjoyed a few laughs
'There’s a really nice balance in the house right now, but if we see the need and get that lightning bolt that says "We can help this person; we could do something here," then absolutely.'
He also cleared up rumours on his recent knee injury which saw him using a cane at the Golden Globes two weeks ago.
His best friend George Clooney had been joking about how he hurt himself.
'I think George went down the line, making things up.
'I was just walking in our backyard, on a hill, carrying my daughter, and I slipped — and it was those parental instincts: me or her. And she’s fine.'

It marks the third time the family have been spotted at a fast food joint in recent weeks.
