Hard at work: Jennifer Lopez arrived on the of American Idol in Pasadena, California, today
At the tender age of three, Jennifer Lopez's twins are already familiar with the showbiz world after making their modelling debut with Gucci earlier this year.
And today the toddlers continued their induction into the family business with a visit to the set of American Idol.
Max and Emme accompanied their mother to work as she continued taping auditions in Pasadena, California.
The singer and actress was dressed in a black coat and gold spikey Christian Louboutin heels and chatted on her mobile phone as she made her way into the studio.
Her children, who both have dark curly hair, looked stylish too with Max wearing jeans and a plaid shirt while his sister wore a grey frock.
As Jennifer got to work on the judging panel alongside Randy Jackson and fellow newcomer Steven Tyler, a nanny took the twins to a local shopping centre to keep them occupied.
Curly-haired cuties: Twins Max and Emme were also seen on the set
While the Jenny From The Block star is thrilled about her new role, not everyone is convinced she is the right person for the job.
Kiss rocker Gene Simmons said this week that she isn't worthy of being an American Idol judge.
'I don't think Jennifer Lopez is going to mean a thing,' the musician told OK! magazine.
'Because you can dance and stuff, you don't write songs, your own records... I don't take her seriously as being able to spot new talent. So, you can sing, you can dance, that's nice.'
Unsurprisingly, Simmons considers himself more suitable for the position.
'In terms of qualifications I’m the governor,' Simmons added.
However, American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe is convinced both Lopez and Tyler will do a better job that former judge Simon Cowell.
'[Jennifer and Steven] are artists, so there isn't this attitude of, "Are you going to make me money? Are you going to make my company money?'" he says.
'They haven't got this attitude - you know, Simon, bless him, hated country music. So as soon as a country singer came in, he turned off straight away and they weren't going to go anywhere.'
Season 10 of the hit TV talent show is set to air in the U.S. in January.
