Coming second doesn't always appeal to Cristiano Ronaldo.

But the Real Madrid footballer and underwear model Irina Shayk made the most of their second row seats at a basketball game in Spain.

At first basketball looked like the furthest thing on the 26-year-old Portuguese international's mind as he watched the game between Real Madrid and F.C. Barcelona.


But as teams battled it out Ronaldo's interest in his stunning fiance waned as he became engrossed in the game.

With Real Madrid only winning the game by four points the footballer looked tense as he is known to like his teams to always win.

Although onlookers were staring at Ronaldo's model girlfriend Irina the 25-year-old, whose birthday it is tomorrow, has told fans she is keeping her clothes on for future modelling shoots.

As the game became more tense Cristiano Ronaldo seemed to forget what row he was in or who he was with


Shayk, who has been dating the Real Madrid superstar since 2010, has said she has no intention of posing for the ultimate men’s mag, Playboy.

'Yes, I am a lingerie model, but I have class,' she said in an interview for UK men’s magazine Esquire.

'Playboy offered me so much money last year. I was like, no way.'

'I would never do some kind of cheesy magazine,' added the Russian model.

Irina and Cristiano became engaged last February after the footballer flew to New York from Spain to propose on Valentine’s Day.

The Real Madrid star is already father to a baby boy.

His mother Dolores is helping raise the baby between Madrid and Portugal.

The identity of the baby's mother has never been revealed.

Her revealing newspaper tell-all yesterday, accompanied by confronting photographs of the injuries she sustained in a violent fight with her ex-boyfriend, made nationwide headlines.

But Sarah Harding was all covered up when she stepped out for the first time since going public with her side of the scandal.

While she chose to show off her bruised arms and face in the papers, the 30-year-old kept them under wraps in a long-sleeved blouse and oversize sunglasses for a shopping trip.


With her fans and critics still reeling over her tell-all interview, the Girls Aloud star indulged in some retail therapy.

Sarah wore a pair of black leggings with lace detail down the side of the legs,a cream patterned blouse and boots.

The blonde star appeared to be wearing quite a lot of make-up which she finished off with some lip gloss.

It was a stark contrast to her appearance on the front of The Sun yesterday where she appeared bare-faced with her hair tied back.

She opened up about the alleged assualt incident with new boyfriend Theo De Vries.

Speaking for the first time, Harding went into detail about the incident with her boyfriend of three months.

Looking at the image on the cover of the newspaper, it seems that Harding's altercation with her boyfriend of three months was in fact very physical.

'He grabbed me by my hair - throwing my head on the floor. We were struggling,' she recalled.

'While he had me by the hair, he was pulling me across the floor. He was dragging me around.

'He was smacking my head on the floor. He bit my ear. And when I kicked him to try and get him off me, I got his nose and he was bleeding.'

The singer also claimed Theo smeared blood all her face during the incident.

Her allegations come after De Vries accused her of biting him and throwing an ashtray at his head.

Harding arrived back in the UK bandaged up after catching the first flight home from Austria.

She had been staying in the Hotel Schloss Matzen with her boyfriend when things took a turn for the worse.

Harding explained: 'He was goading me. The abuse carried on and on and on till I'd had enough. He got so horrible I threw a coffee cup at him. It missed.'

Harding claims she was defending herself during the incident after she decided to end her relationship with De Vries.

After meeting him during her time spent in rehab in South Africa, Harding admits it probably wasn't the best idea to date someone who was also battling an addiction to alcohol.

She admitted she found him 'lovely' when they first met, but things rapidly went down hill during their holiday in Austria when he apparently started drinking again.

Harding realised that her and De Vries were not compatible and claims she left the hotel early to fly back to the UK.

However, when she couldn't get a flight, she ended up returning to their hotel and that's when the fight took place.

The pop star added that she thinks the reason De Vries was so angry is because he could tell that she still had feelings for her ex-fiancé Tom Crane.

'I think he knew I missed Tom, because I do - desperately,' she said.

'I think in a way I was on a rebound. I think that p***** him off. I called him Tom a few times by mistake. He hated that.'

Harding also revealed that she has been in contact with the DJ since the incident, who 'wants to kill' Theo.

Although she admits they still care about each other, she insists 'we are just not right for each other at this point in time'.

Harding stated that she wishes she could 'do something' about the incident, but that it will cost a lot of money as it would have to be a civil case.

Both her and De Vries face assault charges due to both of their allegations and injuries.

It's usually mummy and newborn sister Hero who steal the limelight.

But little Ava was centre of attention as daddy Graham Quinn interrupted their dip in the sea by hurling her into the air.

The tattooed father-of-two held his eldest daughter between his arms and thrust her high above his head as he lay back on the sand with the waves tickling him.

Sights set on the Palace: Pixie Lott has revealed that she has always wanted to be a princess and her mother would love her to get together with Prince Harry


She's been with her handsome boyfriend for almost a year now and things are going well, if their New year's trip to Mauritius is anything to go by.

But Pixie Lott has revealed that although she is very happy with model Oliver Cheshire - there's a red-headed young royal that has also caught her eye.

And her mother's too, after the pop star revealed that she would love to be a princess, and preferably Prince Harry's.


Pixie, real name Victoria Louise, said every girl has harboured a dream of becoming a princess one day.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan magazine, she said: 'Someone asked me once if I’d like to be a princess, and I was like, "Yes, wouldn’t any girl?" Now I think my mum quite like me to get together with Prince Harry!'

The singer, whose new single Kiss The Star is released at the end of the month, is currently enjoying a romantic New Year's holiday on the paradise island of Mauritius with Cheshire.

Speaking to the magazine, she explained how they met and said: 'It was at a Vivienne Westwood show for fashion week a few years ago. Someone introduced us and then we started talking and realised we got on really well.

'That’s the worst. I like guys who are gentlemanly, have manners and are funny. That makes anyone better-looking.'

Pixie also said she is an old-fashioned girl at heart and takes relationship inspiration from her happily-married parents and would like to get married one day.

She said: 'I wouldn’t stand for it. I don’t think any girl should. The lines are a bit more blurred now, so I don’t know how I’d feel if I found flirty texts or emails - I guess it would depend on the situation and what was being said. But actual cheating? No one deserves that.'

Pixie reaches a milestone birthday in a week's time when she turns 21, and she believes she has grown up a lot since she burst onto the scene in 2009.

She said: 'I’ve definitely grown up a lot although I think my identity is still the same. I always had quite a strong sense of what I liked and didn’t like and I don’t think that has changed.

'Sexiness definitely comes from the inside, though – if you feel comfortable, you feel sexier and more confident. But if you’re wearing something you’re not sure about, you end up feeling self-conscious, and I think that shows.'

And she said inspiration for her songs comes from whatever mood she is in at the time and added: 'It helps to be in a sad mood. Say you’ve had an argument with a friend, your mum, your boyfriend...It makes me want to write it down.'

Peaches Geldof is pregnant with her first child.

The model and television presenter, 22, is expecting a baby with rocker fiancé Thomas Cohen, 20.

Her spokeswoman said: 'Peaches Geldof and her fiancé Thomas Cohen are delighted to announce that Peaches is pregnant with their first child.

'Peaches is utterly thrilled and they have the full support of both of their families who are equally excited for the baby's arrival.'

Peaches met Cohen four years ago and they announced their engagement on December 11.

She was previously married to musician Max Drummey and they tied the knot in secret in a drive-in ceremony in Las Vegas after a 10-day romance.

Her mother Paula Yates died from an accidental heroin overdose in 2000, at the age of 40.

Australian Hutchence was found dead in a hotel room in Sydney in 1997 and Yates went on to lose custody of the three children she had with Geldof - Peaches, Pixie and Fifi - the following year.

The inspiration behind many of her hits is heartache but it seems Adele is far from unhappy.

The 23-year-old singer was spotted sharing an intimate moment with her boyfriend Simon Konecki while on holiday recently.

Konecki, 36, had accompanied Adele on a trip to Miami and certainly looked pleased to be there.


The pair were spotted enjoying a cuddle at Everglades National Park and appeared very loved-up.

Bearded Konecki - who is the CEO of Brighton-based charity Drop4Drop - bears a striking similarity to actor Zach Galifianakis.

According to The Sun, Adele admitted last year that she fancied The Hangover star, so it's no wonder she's dating a lookalike.

Wearing a pair of black leggings, matching ballet pumps and a patterned smock top, the Someone Like You singer looked completely relaxed with her boyfriend.

The pair were later seen on a airboat enjoying an alligator-spotting ride.

The British singer once said that she feels she is different from other successful artists as her life isn't speculated about by the media.

Simon Cowell has lead tributes to late X Factor contestant Kerry McGregor following her death from cancer.

The Scottish singer, who appeared on the TV talent show in 2006, lost her battle with the disease aged just 37.

The wheelchair-bound singer and actress was first diagnosed with bladder cancer two years ago.


But it was thought she was beating the killer disease after undergoing three months of gruelling chemotherapy which almost left her deaf.

The singer leaves a son, Joshua, seven, with property developer partner Dean Robertson, 36.

The mother-of-one had been spurred on by messages of support from her X Factor mentor Sharon Osbourne and Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) star Susan Boyle, who hailed her as an inspiration in her autobiography.

Last night, it was revealed that Kerry and Miss Boyle were about to go into the studio together to record a duet until the project was halted just days ago by the former’s ill health.

Kerry, of Pumpherston, West Lothian - who broke her back in a fall when she was 13 - was diagnosed with cancer in September 2010 after suffering two years of stomach pains.

When details of her illness were first made public in April last year, she said: 'It was small cell cancer, one of the fastest-spreading. I wasn't surprised. The fight is long, but I want to live. I've got so much more to give.'

However, last night, a brief statement from her management company said: 'It is with deep sadness we announce that Kerry passed away at home, earlier today following a battle with cancer. At this time, our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.'

Her manager, Ewan Gallagher, said: 'This is a desperately sad time for all Kerry’s friends and family. She was such a gifted singer and song-writer. She left more than 40 of her own songs unrecorded at her death.

'And she had forged a close friendship with Susan Boyle, who became very attached to Kerry because both are from West Lothian.

'Susan wrote in her autobiography that Kerry’s appearance on X Factor was what gave her the courage to appear on BGT.

'The pair were about to record a duet of Wings To Fly, which has only appeared as a bonus track on an album released by Susan in Japan. I’m sure it would have been a huge hit and the words have such poignancy. I don’t know what will happen with that project now.'

Born in 1974 into a musical family - her late grandfather, Bobby McKerracher, was known as 'the Scottish Bing Crosby' – Kerry was aged five when her father was killed in a road crash.

Raised by her mother, Margaret, also a talented singer, she showed early promise as a gymnast at West Calder High School before she fell from a tree aged 13 and broke her back, leaving her partially paralysed from the waist down.

Determined to remain in mainstream schooling, she re-learnt how to walk with crutches and leg braces in just six weeks, earning a Child of Achievement Award.

Of her disability, she once said: 'Life changed completely for me from an early age.

In some people’s eyes it could be a hindrance but in my eyes it’s not. If anything, it gives me all the more reason to kick my heels in and go on. I am determined and I will achieve.'

After studying music and drama at Jewel and Esk Valley College in Edinburgh, she formed the dance band Nexus in 1993 before leaving to join QFX, whose album Freedom reached Number 21 in the UK charts.

Talent spotted by Kenny MacDonald, manager of The Proclaimers, she was selected to record a song for the UK´s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in 1997, coming second to Katrina and the Waves, who went on to win Eurovision with Love Shine a Light.

In 2006, Kerry secured her biggest break after making the finals of series three of The X Factor, which was eventually won by future Grammy award nominee Leona Lewis.

She managed to last until Week 3, when she was voted off by Louis Walsh.

Kerry later concentrated on her acting career and songwriting and had more than 40 songs still unrecorded at her death.

As an actress, she performed on stage, radio and television productions, with notable appearances as Carol-Ann in Annie Griffin’s Channel 4 series The Book Group, and in the award-winning BBC children’s drama series Grange Hill.

Last month, she accepted a role as an ambassador with Action for Bladder Cancer (ABC), the UK’s only charity dedicated to fighting bladder cancer, the fourth most common cancer in men and 11th most common in women with around 10,000 Britons diagnosed with the disease every year.

Colin Bunce, chair of Action on Bladder Cancer, said: 'We are deeply saddened by the news about Kerry. She was a truly inspirational person and we were delighted when, before Christmas, she accepted our invitation to become an Ambassador for Action on Bladder Cancer.

'She was deeply committed to helping raise awareness about bladder cancer and our thoughts are very much with her family at this time.'

Frankie Cocozza is also thought to be going into the luxury pad, and Kirk said he was looking forward to having a bromance with him, and they could call themselves Team Kinky, an amalgamation of their names.

Denise Welch, comedienne Ruby Wax, Irish model Georgia Salpa and Natalie Cassidy are also thought to be going on the show.

Kirk also launched a scathing attack on ex and co-star Lauren Pope, saying he was expecting a text from her after he outed her as 30, not 27.

'I’ll reply the same as I always do when she texts me: "Lauren, please delete my number. It’s getting on my nerves now"'. And I don’t understand why she’s still wearing those skimpy outfits in the winter'

He said he hated the revealing red dress, with splits up the sides that she wore at the Breaking Dawn premiere in November.
