..It is a marriage that is almost as famous for its ridiculously over-the-top nature as for its shockingly short lifespan.
And Bruce Jenner has admitted to US chat show queen Oprah Winfrey that he wishes they could take back Kim Kardashian's nuptials with NBA player Kris Humphries.
The former Olympic gold medalist confessed to his embarrassment at the whole affair, which came to a premature end when reality TV favourite Kim filed for divorce after just 72 days last October.

Frank: Bruce Jenner admitted his embarrassment about Kim Kardashian's lavishly staged wedding to Oprah
He made the admission on the second part of the Oprah's Next Chapter feature on his family after being asked, 'What do you wish you could take back?'
The 62-year-old replied: 'The whole wedding thing. We went so overboard on it.'
Some will think Bruce is quite the master for understatement, especially those who saw the two-part show which documented the event on E!, Kim's Fairytale Wedding.
Not impressed: Bruce appeared to be getting dagger's from his wife Kris as he discussed Kim's nuptials
The couple, who became engaged in May last year after dating for six months, wed at a private estate in Montecito, California in front of 440 guests, including the likes of Eva Longoria, Demi Lovato and Ryan Seacrest.
Kim made three costume changes during the course of the celebrations, each dress an opulent $20,000 Vera Wang creation, while she wore $10m worth of jewellery for the event.
Another $2m was spent on the flowers alone, though it is reported they more than made back their outlay, as they ended up earning $17.9m from the wedding due to coverage deals.
But despite its facade, it seems Bruce was not convinced about the future of the marriage, even at the time, going by his response when Oprah asked him about it.
Opening up: The interview is from the second part of Oprah Winfrey's profile of the family
In a short, but illuminating, response he said: 'I was hoping it would work.'
The former decathlete's comments are the latest twist in the long-running saga of Kim's wedding.
In fact, she even talked about it herself on last week's episode, claiming she felt stifled in the relationship, though she claimed she did love NBA star Kris.
Taking the cake: Even their wedding confectionery was completely over the top
The 31-year-old said: 'I was in love: I wanted the life that I always pictured my fairytale life to be.
'I would've had an extravagant wedding anyway, to end that relationship was a risk in itself to lose ratings and I had to take the risk to be honest to myself.
'I saw how our relationship was. I don't want to get into the small things, but once we moved in, I knew he was not the one.'
