The name of the event was Wango Tango, and it seems this title caused Maria Menounos and Derek Hough to believe they were required to show off some of their dance moves.
The Dancing With The Stars couple put on quite the performance as they took to the red carpet at the KIIS FM event in Carson, California.
And the are-they-aren't-they couple weren't content with simply indulging in their own tango as professional dancer Derek then went behind the camera to snap photos of his TV presenter partner.
Dancing at every opportunity: Maria Menounos and Derek Hough pulled shapes on the red carpet of the Wango Tango event
The pair seem to have their eye on the glitterball trophy more than ever due to their consistent high scores in the competition thus far and as a result appear to be practising their moves at every opportunity.
Maria, 33, showed off her fantastic figure in a mini dress at the Wango Tango event this evening while 26-year-old Derek looked casual in jeans and a white T-shirt under an unbuttoned grey shirt.
However the pair eventually grew tired of frolicking in front of the cameras and made their way inside the bash, which was held at the Home Depot Center.
Hamming it up: Derek then got behind the camera to snap photos of his Dancing With The Stars partner
Mini and maxi: Maria bared her pins while comedienne Kathy Griffin (R) opted for a floor-length dress
Raring to go: Perez Hilton (L) and actress Kat Graham seemed excited for the KIIS FM concert in Carson, California
Guests were treated to performances by the likes of Nicki Minaj, The Wanted, Pitbull, and Adam Levine of Maroon 5, who sang with Gym Class Heroes' Travie McCoy.
But it was Justin Bieber who worked the crowd like a pro and interacted with the excited audience even though he didn't sing - instead introducing Carly Rae Jepsen.
As well as an all-star line-up, several celebrities were in attendance simply to sit back, relax and watch the performances.
Bieber fever: Justin introduced singer Carly Rae Jepsen during the evening
Crowd pleaser: Justin still seemed to be the biggest hit of the evening despite not performing for the audience
Working it: Adam Levine of Maroon 5 was certainly a sight for sore eyes as he belted out some songs
Duet: The Voice coach performed alongside Travie McCoy of Gym Class Heroes
Comedienne Kathy Griffin, blogger Perez Hilton and actress Kat Graham were all on hand for the proceedings.
While most of the musical acts opted to skip the red carpet, The Wanted happily posed for pictures.
The boyband seemed in great spirits and it's no surprise after their huge success in the American market so far.
Show-stopping: Nicki Minaj as usual was dressed in a dramatic costume for her stint at the concert
Glad they came: The Wanted looked delighted as they posed up together on the red carpet upon their arrival
Living the dream: The British boyband have managed the tricky task of breaking America
Rounding it off: The evening ended with a performance by Pitbull
