With her husband David spending lots of time on the football pitch, Victoria Beckham took the reins when it came to entertaining their children over the weekend.
As the sun was shining in Los Angeles, the 38-year-old Spice Girl opted to take daughter Harper and son Romeo to make the most of the good weather with a trip to Santa Monica pier.
With fairground rides and an arcade, the seaside spot would have been a fun place for the family to enjoy an afternoon.
All the fun of the fair: Victoria Beckham took son Romeo and baby daughter Harper to Santa Monica pier
Victoria carried 10-month-old Harper on her hip and a huge tote bag occupied her other arm, while an excited Romeo, nine, walked briskly in front of them.
Although the pier hardly required a dressed up look, fashion designer Victoria couldn’t resist sporting a stylish black maxi dress that billowed in the breeze.
However with two children to keep an eye on and a tricky wooden terrain to negotiate, Victoria decided to forgo her heels and instead opted for black flat sandals.
Overdressed: Victoria wasn't about to dress down for the occasion, while Harper looked stylish and Romeo (R) kept things casual
The stylish star is no doubt enjoying dressing up her only daughter, and Harper was sporting a ruffled white onesie and matching bandana for their day out.
Meanwhile Romeo kept things casual in a simple T-shirt and dark jeans.
Victoria’s other children, sons Brooklyn and Cruz, were nowhere to be seen, perhaps spending the day with their LA Galaxy player father.
Picture perfect family: Victoria and David took their three sons (L-R) Cruz, Romeo and Brooklyn to the Sports Spectacular event earlier this month
The star spoke out to Interview magazine recently about her reputation for being sour-faced.
She said: 'Yes, I created this persona and I’m very different from that.'
'I don’t feel like I have to scream and shout about it - I know I am a happy person. So I don’t get upset when people comment on the fact that I look quite miserable all the time.
She added: 'But people think I am. And you know, sometimes I think the same thing when I look at the pictures.'
Making it work: The couple have four children and will celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary in July
