My Style: Dannii spoke of her fashion blunders during an interview on ITV1's This Morning
She may have moved on from her role as panel judge, but it seems that Dannii Minogue still has the X Factor on her mind.
The Aussie star has claimed that there is never a happy ending for the show's judges and that her and Cheryl Cole are proof of that.
The 39-year-old singer songwriter, who gave birth to her son, Ethan, in July 2010, never wanted to leave the UK show.
Looking good: Aussie star, Dannii Minogue, promoted her new book at Waterstones in Bluewater wearing navy blue maxi dress
The star revealed her feelings during an interview on Heart FM.
‘It does eat all of us up and spit us out at the end,' she said.
Dannii, sister of pop star Kylie Minogue, went on to explain why she never returned for this year's talent show.
'The dates of the filming got put back twice and I'd already started Australia's Got Talent by the time they said, "Ok, here it is - let's do the show",' she said.
'It would've meant me flying back and forth from Australia once a week for ten weeks with a one-year-old child.
Mother-of-one: Dannii arrived at the ITV studios wearing a midi-length blue dress that was covered in a bird print
Front and back: Dannii looked radiant as she stepped out in the sunshine wearing a summer dress
‘I'd just got out of hospital three days before having my appendix out and I was like, "I'm sorry but it's not possible.
Dannii's blunt ending to her X Factor career bears many similarities to Cheryl Cole's - who left the UK to join the U.S. panel, only to be struck off after a few weeks.
The statement will be a shock to members of the new panel - Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos - who all seem to have settled into their new roles very well.
Happy to talk: the singer took time to speak to fans and sign autographs when she was in London today
Mummy's boy: Dannii, pictured here with her son Ethan on the Australian X Factor, said on This Morning that she is constantly doing video calls with the tot
In the past: the former X Factor judge told Heart FM that her and Cheryl Cole had been 'eaten and spat out' by the show
