Girls holiday: Ashlee Simpson shows off her fabulous bikini body in a skimpy polka dot bikini in Mexico

Her son is at home being taken care of by her ex-husband.

So Ashlee Simpson was free to really live it up worry-free during a girls holiday to Mexico this week.

The mother-of-one let her hair down, clutching a drink while she danced with her friends by the pool.

The 26-year-old showed off her fantastic figure in a skimpy polka dot bikini and teamed it with a cute straw boater hat.

Singer and actress Ashlee took to the sand later with a friend, and the pair skipped along the shoreline with their drinks in hand before dancing their way up the stairs back to their villa.

Simpson is currently loved-up with her new beau, Boardwalk Empire star Vincent Piazza.

The couple made their public debut earlier in the month at the season premiere party of his crime drama, and were seen canoodling at the HBO after party of the Emmy Awards earlier in the week.

So Ashlee shouldn't be put out when she sees the pictures of her ex Pete Wentz enjoying a day at the park with their son Bronx and his new girlfriend, Meagan Camper.

The Fall Out Boy bassist was spotted with the stunning model and the tot at a park in New York yesterday while Simpson was out of town.
