'I've put on weight and I need help': Lauren Goodger left in tears as she admits to having body issues after Mark Wright split

She has been criticised by both the public and reportedly her ex-fiance for being 'overweight'.

But it seems as though Lauren Goodger has finally cracked under all the pressure of living under the spotlight.

In tomorrow night's episode of The Only Way Is Essex we see a broken Goodger confiding in Lauren Pope and tearfully admitting that she struggles with her body image.

The 25-year-old blames her shock split from Mark Wright last year as part of the reason that she has put weight on recently.

She said: 'I feel like I'm bigger now, definitely. Since I've been single, going out clubbing, I've put on weight.

'I need help. I need something to help me.'

Lauren has always been curvy but with so many of her female co-stars always looking so pristine and slim, she is under scrutiny and compared to them.

She said: 'Some weeks I feel great.I feel good, slim, other weeks I feel really like bloated in the face and a bit uncomfortable.'

Last year Lauren revealed how Mark used to tell her to lose weight when they were engaged and made her feel like she should be 'obsessed' with being slim.

The telling interview came days before the couple's shock split and shed some light on the reasons why The Only Way Is Essex on-off couple broke off their engagement.

Although he claims it was because she cheated on him during a night out while he was holidaying in Marbella - a claim she vehemently denies.

She told Heat magazine at the time of the break-up: 'He makes me feel like I should be obsessed, so that's double pressure.

'He tells me that we'll be a bigger couple because people like to see good-looking slim people.

When asked if her boyfriend had ever asked her to lose weight, she said: 'Yeah. He wants us to train together and get fit for the show. But I couldn't survive on a bowl of lettuce. We both love our food.'
