She managed to keep her pregnancy a secret for quite some time, but now there's no stopping Jessica Simpson from showing off her baby bump.

The 31-year-old singer stepped out in Beverly Hills yesterday wearing a very clingy maxi dress.

No doubt feeling fed up now, Simpson - who is due to give birth very soon - always makes an effort when it comes to her maternity wear.


The blonde star teamed the stretchy grey garment with a smart black blazer and her trusty wedges.

She has continued to wear heels throughout her pregnancy, but often opts for the brown pair which are much more comfier than stilettos.

As she left the Four Seasons hotel, Simpson wore a pair of large dark sunglasses and appeared to be almost waddling to her waiting car.

She was accompanied by her fiancé Eric Johnson, who is clearly doing everything he can to ensure that she is relaxed as she prepares for the birth of their first child.

But as Simpson looks forward to motherhood, she was no doubt feeling particularly emotional when she learned of singer Whitney Houston's tragic death.

The Come On Over singer was one of many celebrities who paid tribute to Houston by posting a heartfelt message on her Twitter page.

'I found my voice singing Whitney Houston's music. Today I lost my idol,' Simpson wrote.

The blonde star began her music career back in 1999 so no doubt Houston was a singer who she looked up to and took much inspiration from.
