Big Brother brought them together! Louise Cliffe and Jay McKray marry less than a year after meeting in house

There's normally plenty of lust inside the Big Brother house but flings usually fizzle out well before the series ends.

But this wasn't the case for Big Brother 12 couple Louise Cliffe and Jay McKray who married today in at the registry office in Durham.

Louise, 26, and Jay, 27, posted a series of snaps of their special day to a website set up especially for their wedding.

The pair also streamed a live feed of their nuptials so fans could share in the celebrations.

The site read: 'Louise and Jay wanted to offer a special thank you to their superb fans who have given them such great support since their love blossomed in the public eye live on Big Brother 2011. They decided the best way to do this would be invite all of their fans to the the wedding via a live feed of pictures, showing them up close and personal, along with their friends and family.'

But the website had so many hits it actually crashed during the streaming.

During the wedding model Louise told her followers: 'Thanks for all your lovely messages, havin a amazing time x' (sic)

The Manchester-born brunette looked gorgeous in a strapless wedding dress and wore her hair curled around her shoulders.

The wedding was attended by Jay's home friends and Geordie Shore stars Jason 'Jay' Gardner, James Tindale and Gary 'Gaz' Beadle.

Prior to entering the house Jay was a fitness instructor and plumber and he was named the best looking lad in Newcastle in a local competition.

Louise, who has appeared in and on the cover of plenty of lads mags, won the title of Miss Manchester in 2006 and has several parts in TV films.

The pair are certainly not the first couples to marry after meeting in the Big Brother house.

Big Brother 3 contestants Sophie Pritchard and Lee Davey married in 2003 and had a son Max, before splitting three years later.

Big Brother 7 stars Mikey Dalton and Grace Adams-short the couple married in 2009 and have a five-month old daughter together.
