That went well honey! David Beckham, cradling his seven-month-old daughter Harper, took his wife Victoria out for lunch after her successful show at New York Fashion Week

David Beckham epitomized the perfect husband as he took Victoria out for lunch to celebrate her successful New York Fashion Week show.

After cheering her on front row and centre next to US Vogue editor-in chief Anna Wintour, the 36-year-old treated his two favourite girls to a meal at Balthazar in the Big Apple.

The footballer was spotted cradling the couple's seven-month-old daughter Harper as his designer wife exited the restaurant in her towering Christian Louboutins.

Victoria, 37, showed off her slim figure in a fitted black sleeveless dress with a hemline ending below the knee, and a three-quarter-sleeved cardiagan.

It was cinched at the waist with a thin black belt and she paired the look with her staple massive sunglasses.

David looked dapper in a shiny black suit and tie, with his hair slicked back.

A successful career change: The former Spice Girl had debuted her Fall/Winter collection on the runway

Their adorable daughter was dressed in a checked black and white dress with thick woolen tights.

There was no sign of the couple's three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

The footballer was spending as much time as he could with the girls before he jetted back to their home in Los Angeles.

He was seen arriving at LAX alone last night, trying to blend in with the crowd, but failing miserably.

He showed onlookers how to travel metrosexual style, donning a sharp suit and tie, with not one hair out of place.

Daddy's little girl: Harper was also there to support her mother, but there was no sign of the couple's three boys

Meanwhile, former Spice Girl Victoria looked downcast as she headed out without her husband in New York.

But she looked the uber-fashionista in a black fur wrap over black skinny jeans and a pair of towering boots.

Her brunette locks were curled and fell loosely around her face.

David was earlier seen holding Harper as they supported Victoria at the Public Library.

The youngster was spotted pulling cheeky faces in his arms.

You should be happy! Later, Victoria didn't crack a smile as she stepped out to celebrate her successful show

Victoria spoke about her daughter and husband's support as she debuted her autumn/winter 2012-13 collectio.

'Oh, she is such a daddy's girl,' she told Graziadaily.co.uk.

'Harper comes to work with me. Last season she was here when we launched Victoria, Victoria Beckham.

'But this is David's first show. I think he has only just realised how hard I work. That it's not just a hobby.'

The range featured her trademark feminine, fitted shapes on the catwalk, finished with military detail.

She took footwear in a new direction however, replacing heels with tough-looking biker boots.

In the hustle and bustle: The footballer attracted a few stares from excited travellers
Victoria explained the inspiration for her collection came from her daily life.

'I took the beanie hats from David's wardrobe and there are some boyfriend jackets that are all him. And the baseball stripes and jersey cuffs came about when I was standing in kitchen and [my son] Romeo runs in wearing a baseball kit and I thought that's it. It looks so cool.'

And now Victoria has immortalised her baby girl in the world of design, with a tribute most could only dream of- unveiling her new Harper handbag on the runway.

She's certainly continued to earn plaudits in the fashion world.

The multi-million-dollar man: David has been supportive of his wife's designer endeavors

'She is so determined and focused in anything she does, whether it's her career, figure or clothing line,' said Nina Garcia, Marie Claire fashion director and Project Runway panelist

'She's her best advertisement. She always looks great, is a fashion icon herself and has a passion for what she's doing.'

However it seems managing a fashion empire and being a mother to four children- not to mention wife to one of the most famous and desired men in the world.

'It got to the point, just before Christmas, when for the first time ever, I wasn't actually sure if I could cope,' she confessed, according to The People.

'I was working in London and the day I finished work, I went to bed and woke up at 4 o'clock in the morning with a chest infection and throat infection. I very rarely get sick - I can't remember the last time before that that I had a cold or anything - but I guess I was really feeling the pressure.'

Victoria revealed that she was so exhausted after flying to Los Angeles during her pregnancy once that airport staff tried to put her in a wheelchair.

Mixing with fashion royalty: David sat next to Vogue editor-in-chief as he took snaps from the front row

The smile says it all: Always-modest Victoria's faces showed that she was pleased with her collection's reception

'I got home from the final trip on the last day the doctor had given me permission to travel' she explained.

'I was so pregnant that when I landed at LAX they tried to put me in a wheelchair.
Can you imagine? I was like, I don't think so, thank you very much.'

Thankfully it seems that now Harper has arrived she is behaving like a dream, as VB added: 'She's such a good baby. I love all my children exactly the same of course, but the boys were hard work. They had colic, they had acid reflux. They never slept.'
