Old Hollywood shimmer: Kim Kardashian arrived at tonight's Cinema For Peace event in Los Angeles in a plunging silver gown and tumbling curls


She may have made her name as a reality show star, but Kim Kardashian was doing her best to conjure up some Hollywood glamour at a charity event tonight.

The 31-year-old arrived at the Montage Hotel in Los Angeles sporting a plunging silver gown and tumbling curls.

Spiky silver heels and a long matching necklace completed the look as she posed for photographers at the Cinema For Peace event, which benefited J/P Haitian Relief.


And the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star found herself rubbing shoulders with some of Hollywood's elite, with Demi Moore, Sean Penn and Mel Gibson also attending.

The star has found her family in the headlines in recent days with questions being raised over the paternity of her younger sister Khloe and reports in the New York Postr which questioned their reality show's ratings and the family's pulling power.

However, Kim looked unruffled as she strode confidently down the carpet.

Kim's curves looked all the more visible in comparison to Demi Moore who was showing off an extremely thin frame.

The actress's legs looked very slim compared to her daughter Rumer who wore a black sheer top and leather jacket.

Rumer's short curly hair took on a reddish tinge, while Demi wore her hair long and straight.

Meanwhile, Mel Gibson looked on fine form, waving at the assembled photographers and smiling broadly as he made his way into the event.

Actress Hilary Swank also stuck to black, sporting a high necked clinging dress and heels.

Model Petra Nemcova opted for a more striking ensemble, standing out in a royal blue satin gown teamed with bright red lipstick.

British actress Felicity Jones, who has won both plaudits and prizes for her role in indie film Like Crazy, looked stunning in a lacy white dress and black belt.

Orlando Bloom and Sean Penn were also on hand to lend their support to the cause, with Orlando looking particularly dapper in a black suit and tie.
