Was that your goal? Shayne Ward stunned fans with his new bouffant-style hair on This Morning today


When he appeared on The X Factor back in 2005, Shayne Ward cultivated an image which saw him with brooding good looks and a shaved head.

So when the 27-year-old singer appeared on This Morning today with luxuriously full brown hair, his fans were left stunned.

Hundreds of fans took to Twitter to comment on Ward's new look, with 'Shayne Ward' becoming a trending topic within minutes of his appearance on the ITV show.

One fan wrote: 'Oh my god. Shayne Ward on This Morning! I did not recognise him. But then again it has been 5 years since he was on X Factor!'

While another added: 'Omg shayne ward doesn't even look like shayne ward, looks like a different man!'

Even This Morning presenter Coleen Nolan commented on his new look, writing on her official blog: 'Shayne Ward was in the studio - oh my God, how beautiful does he look at the moment, I like him with hair.

Another This Morning viewer wrote: 'Oh my god shayne ward has got hair what is going on. he's still suuuper sexy though woah.'

While someone else joked: 'I think that 'shayne ward' on this morning was a double, Shayne ward hasnt got the ability to grow hair.'

Ward was on This Morning to promote his role in the hit musical Rock Of Ages, in which he stars as rock star Stacee Jaxx.

Talking about the show, which tells the story of the development of rock and roll music on the Sunset Strip, Ward said: 'It's all set in the late 80s on Sunset Strip, LA. I've never had any acting lessons - it must've just come from the role play that I did as a kid.

'I was one of seven children - a big Irish family and all we ever did was role play and anything for a laugh.'
