Another day, another award: Kate Winslet attends the 37th Cesar Film Awards at Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, France
Kate Winslet may only be in her mid-30s, but her latest public appearance led to comparisons with someone almost 20 years her senior.
The actress, 36, bore an uncanny resemblance to Madonna during a jaunt to Paris.
As she made her way into the Theatre du Chatelet for the Cesar awards, Kate channeled the Queen of Pop, who is 53.
Winner! The actress collects her award in a dress with a plunging neckline
Kate wore a daring dress with a plunging neckline for the event, where she received an honorary César Award.
The French Academy of Cinematic Arts and Techniques recently announced that it will pay tribute to Winslet's life and acting career by honouring her with the French equivalent of the Academy Award.
Director Quentin Tarantino received the award last year and other previous recipients include Meryl Streep, Spike Lee, Jean-Luc Godard and Ingrid Bergman.
Sparkling: Kate picked up her award in a glittering dress
Happy days: The actress reacts as she receives an honorary Cesar award from French director Michel Gondry
The actress will no doubt put the award next to her three Golden Globe awards as well as the Best Actress Academy Award she won for her role in The Reader.
As if resembling someone older than her wasn't bad enough, earlier in the day Kate's crow's feet were highlighted when she arrived at the Ritz Hotel.
Kate could do nothing to hide them as she raised a smile while entering the plush hotel.
Read between the lines: Kate Winslet had crow's feet around her eyes as she made her way into the Ritz Hotel in Paris today
All in black: The actress arrived at the hotel in a simple yet chic ensemble
She wore a smart all-black ensemble comprised an LBD, a blazer, peep toe heels and a small handbag.
The actress was accompanied by her partner Ned Rocknroll to the event - he wore a matching grey blazer and waistcoat with a white shirt, dark grey trousers and a pair of black shoes.
Kate youthful looks landed her a contract as the face of Lancôme.
Still got it: Kate looked radiant, beaming as she made her way into the Ritz with boyfriend Ned Rocknroll
In March 2010 the actress appeared to have had her face airbrushed in an advert for the make-up company.
Understandable when one's face is being splashed across huge posters in city's and towns around the world.
However, in 2003 she complained when a GQ magazine cover shot was digitally altered to make her look slimmer.
Not to worry: The actress has complained about being airbrushed in the past
And only two years ago she proclaimed: ‘I have wrinkles which are very evident.
'I will particularly say when I look at movie posters, “You guys have airbrushed my forehead. Please can you change it back?”’
Perhaps a glance at last year's remarkably flattering portraits convinced her that sometimes a little perfection doesn’t hurt.
Fresh-faced: Kate's good looks earned her a contact with French make-up firm Lancôme
