You're not in Newscastle anymore: The master bedroom inside the $5.5 (£3.4million) mansion in Beverly Hills Cheryl viewed last night


She already has a plush Beverly Hills apartment, but as Cheryl Cole makes a serious commitment to breaking America, she looks to be upgrading.

The singer was spotted viewing a $5.5million (£3.4million) Los Angeles mansion 'in the dark of the night' with her assistant and a real estate agent.

The 6,000 sq ft luxury home overlooks the city and boasts six bedrooms and four bathrooms.


It has a swimming pool, a large games room and multiple dining areas.

The sprawling three-storey pad features stucco exterior, split levels and a Spanish-style flat roof.

The house overlooks Beverly Hills with the occupants able to relax on one of several balconies to enjoy the stunning views.

Cheryl can either top up her tan outside or play the perfect hostess to her Hollywood friends with an alfresco-style dinner party.

And when she wants some alone time, the massive master bedroom features a cosy fireplace, perfect for snuggling up beside in winter.

But it also features massive windows, which will no doubt see the sun streaming through in the summer months.

Photos from inside the house show the current owners' their taste and penchant for artwork in the living room with an orange and cream theme.

The house has been dressed up with a number of 70s-style pieces, including sideboards.

Cheryl, who is reportedly a fan of cooking, will love the kitchen, which looks big enough to fit several people and include a middle bar with its own sink facility.

One of the tiled bathrooms features a massive walk-in shower, two sinks, and a beauty counter so Cheryl can spend hours getting ready for A-list Hollywood parties.

The mansion is a far cry from Cheryl's humble upbringing in Newcastle.

She grew up in council estates with her mother and four brothers and sisters.

Cheryl reportedly bought an apartment in Beverly Hills in March worth £2.2million ahead of her appearance on the U.S X Factor judging panel.

The two-bedroom place boasted three bathrooms, a home cinema and an outdoor swimming pool, wine cellar.

It overlooked the famous Avenue of the Stars and was originally part of a five star hotel so had 24-hour security.

According to insiders, it's just down the road from rumoured ex-boyfriend Derek Hough's house.

Her other neighbours also include Tori Spelling's mother, Candy.

In July a source told Ok!: 'Cheryl bought the apartment back in March when she was still on the US X Factor. But she loves LA and when the TV show didn't work out decided not to renege on her offer but use it as a base for her music career.'

Cheryl lived with her ex-husband Ashley Cole in a £3.4million mansion until their divorce last year.

It was broken into in an apparent bid to steal the couple's wedding rings and the Chelsea star was woken at 4,30am as thieves tried to force their way in.

Ashley apparently recently purchased a $3.2 million home in LA where he hoped the pair could 'make a new start'.

Cheryl has been trying to break into Hollywood since she was offered the U.S. X Factor gig by Simon Cowell. But he unceremoniously axed her from the show.

However she has taken to fashion designer and this week spoke about her new shoe collection which will be available in December.

She admitted the collaboration with Stylistpick.com has given her a new lease of life.

'I have not felt this excited in a long time.

'I've been dreaming about shoes, millions of them but i wanted the initial six to eight pairs to be everything I've ever dreamed of.'

So far details have been kept under wraps, but it is likely the collection will feature leopard print and polka dots - and a special Valentine's Day shoe in pink and monochrome.
