Daddy duty: Ryan Phillippe bonded with daughter Ava on Saturday at a football game in Los Angeles

While Reese Witherspoon took a day off, her ex Ryan Phillippe was on daddy duty with their son Deacon and daughter Ava, who looks more like her mother every day.

The 37-year-old actor was spotted out and about yesterday at Deacon's football game in the trendy Brentwood area of Los Angeles.

While Ryan's eight-year-old son took to the field, the doting father cheered him on and bonded with Ava, 12, on the sidelines.

The two children re the result of the actor's seven year marriage to Oscar winner Witherspoon.

Ryan, who is dating model Paulina Slagter, looked cool and casual in grey shorts and a white T-shirt, which he teamed with trainers.

His girlfriend, who at age 20 is almost half his age, could be seen lounging on the grass in a blue sun dress.

She chatted and spent time with Ava who wore jeans a T-shirt and glasses.

Ryan's relationship with Witherspoon ended in 2007 and he went on to have a brief fling with model Alexis Knapp in 2010, which resulted in the birth of baby boy named Kailani last July.

The star has also previously been linked to actresses Abbie Cornish and Amanda Seyfried.
