Perhaps the poor weather in Britain is the reason Tamara Ecclestone hoped on a plane to sunnier climes.

The former It Girl looked in great shape as she holidayed in The Bahamas with boyfriend Omar Khyami, but spent part of the day by herself with only her shadow for company.

The 27-year-old didn't let the fact she was alone get her down though and she took full advantage of the good weather as she showed off her curves in a tiny bikini.

The reality TV star looked great in a two piece that showed off her ample cleavage, toned torso and tanned body.

The brunette rocked a pair of aviator sunglasses and kept her watch and a bracelet on as she strolled up and down the beach.

Tamara, daughter of Formula 1 owner Bernie Ecclestone, didn't venture into the sea but instead opted for a spot of sunbathing.

After lazing around she picked up her large Chanel handbag and slipped on her flip-flops and left the beach.

The British socialite then headed further inland to take a look at the amazing views through a seaside telescope.

Tamara has only been in the area for a couple of days but made no secret of wishing her sister Petra was with her.

She said on Twitter: '@PetraStunt your the only thing that makes pilates fun! Missing my tanning partner x'.

She also mentioned how she was not partying during her break and was trying to take things easy.

She added: 'By the pool sipping green tea not cocktails how very rock n roll! Lol'.

Tamara may be missing her sister but she recently spoke out about her desire to outshine her sibling when she eventually gets married.

The Billion $$$ Girl has been dating Omar Khyami for two years but is not yet engaged to him. Despite this minor detail she has already planned where and how they will marry.

She told Closer magazine: 'Petra’s wedding was the best I’ve ever been to. I’d like to have one abroad like hers.

'I wouldn’t know what to do to make it as glamorous! It’ll have to be really bling.'

When Petra married James Stunt at Odescalchi Castle in Rome last year, she enlisted the Black Eyed Peas and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra as entertainment.

She also wore an £80,000 Vera Wang dress, while her guests, which included Paris and Nicky Hilton, were treated to a large fireworks display at the end of the three-day bash.

She added: 'My dream is to have Lionel Richie – and All Night Long as the first song. I’m so corny.

'I’ve already lived with Omar for a while and we both really want to get married, so it will happen either this year or next. I’m just waiting for him to pop the question.'

Tamara is currently auctioning her designer clothes on eBay for charity through www.tamaragivesback.com.

In September, she will move from her expensive Chelsea pad to a £45million mansion in Kensington Palace Gardens.

The huge house includes a beauty salon, an underground nightclub with a 7ft aquarium and a dog spa for her five pooches.

However, Tamara’s favourite part is the bowling alley and she told the magazine: 'I’m so excited about my new pad. I love bowling and I’ve installed my own alley, so I don’t have to wear other people’s manky bowling shoes!'
