Best of British! The English roses pack out the front row as Lydia Bright joins Caroline Flack for day one of London Fashion Week

Fashion lovers: Lydia Bright looked super stylish in her baby blue dress while Caroline Flack opted for her black shorts and a red blouse with a bootlace tie as they attended the PPQ show on the first day of LFW


They were born and bred in these fair isles and are among some of the best dressed girls about town.

So it was only fitting that some of our English roses should be among those to grace the front rows as London Fashion Wee.

As one of the biggest fashion events of the year kicked off in the capital today, The Only Way is Essex star Lydia Bright joined TV presenter Caroline Flack at the PPQ clothing show at Somerset House.


Lydia, 21, who is one of the most stylist of the TOWIE girls, looked ever so pretty in a baby blue dress with pockets adorned with gold buttons which she teamed with nude peep-toed heels and a cream and black clutch bag.

She sat with Take me Out host Zoe Hardman who looked very sexy in her short black dress with a purple motif.

Ready for her close-up: Caroline flicked out her long hair as she took her place in the front row

Caroline, 32, who is a fan of the label, wore her trademark black shorts and ankle boots which she teamed with a red blouse and bootlace tie and black jacket.

She was sat between Xfm DJ Lliana Bird and fashion editor and stylist Rachel Bakewell.

Back to black: Pixie looked very chic in her shiny black coat and leopard heels with cat ears

Taking their front row seats, the girls were joined by other British beauties including Capital FM breakfast show co-host Lisa Snowdon, 40, who looked lovely in her figure-hugging multi-coloured PPQ dress and pointy black heels.

Peaches Geldof was on the guest list and arrived in a stunning purple dress that although clung to her figure, didn't show off her pregnancy bump as much as other clothes she has worn recently.

Also attending was pop star Pixie Lott, who wore a short black dress and shiny black coat which she teamed with leopard print heels, compete with cat ears.

It was outfit number two for the singer, who arrived for another show this morning in a long black and white print dress and platform ankle boots.

Also at the show was Jo Wood was was snapped giggling as she sat next to TV chef Gizzi Erzine, TV presenter Jameela Jamil and Nat Weller, who looked super cool in his skinny black jeans and dark sunglasses.

And other guests included radio presenter Sarah Jane Crawford, who looked fabulous in a tight and bright orange dress and model Bip Ling.

It was the first day of London Fashion Week, which runs until next Thursday and features range of shows from some of the top British designers including Mulberry, Vivienne Westwood, TopShop, Mulberry and Matthew Williamson.
