No fashion follower: Cheryl Cole has hit back at her style critics in new interviews this week
She was much ridiculed by fashion followers for THAT infamous X Factor USA outfit, but Cheryl Cole says she doesn't give a hoot what anyone else thinks.
'I'm not being funny, but everybody else started wearing orange and purple. It's a fact. I love those trousers.
'I don't give a s*** if everybody else didn't like them,' the 28-year-old said in an interview with the Telegraph today.
Cheryl, currently promoting her new shoe collection for Stylistpick.com, is also in defensive mode during an appearance on Lorraine to be aired on ITV1 tomorrow.
'I don’t care, I like what I wore, else I wouldn’t have worn it,' she says.
Cole tells the host that she admires Lady Gaga's out-there style, but would never be brave enough to try it out for herself.
Defiant: ''I don't give a s*** if everybody else didn't like them,' Cole has said of the purple trousers she was ridiculed for at the X Factor USA auditions in May
'I think Lady Gaga has took it to the extreme and nobody had dared to go there before,' Says Cheryl. 'I think she’s fascinating. I mean, I’m not as brave or as bold as to do some of the things she does myself, but I admire her a lot.'
During the interview Cheryl discusses London style versus the North, saying she loves both.
'Definitely, 100 per cent, but again I love it. In Liverpool, those girls go all in. They don’t mess around up there – we are talking full on glamour.'
'Girl crushes': Cheryl says she admires Lady Gaga's style and has a 'girl crush' on Cameron Diaz
The Parachute singer reveals that she would love to get her entire back covered in tattoos. 'I would like to,' she tells Lorraine, 'but I wouldn’t dare. But I would like to – I like the idea of it.'
The Geordie singer also admits that she has a 'girl crush' on Cameron Diaz, who she calls 'amazing.'
Cole makes a cameo in the Diaz's upcoming film What to Expect When You're Expecting.
