Picture of high fashion: Sarah Jessica Parker wore two different gowns Friday night to two events at the Cannes Film Festival, including the preview of her upcoming film I Don’t Know How She Does It

Sarah Jessica Parker certainly knows how to make an entrance and she had every photographer on her on Friday night as she strolled down the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival.

The actress wowed in a floral print crepe georgette gown, with lace detailing on the sleeves and neckline from designer Ellie Saab, which she wore to the Wu Xia premier at the Palais des Festivals.

The same night she swapped into a white maxi dress for a preview of her upcoming comedy I Don’t Know How She Does It, which is based on a novel by the same name from Allison Pearson, a former Daily Mail columnist.

Parker was a special guest at the premier of Peter Chan’s Wu Xia – a Chinese detective story which will be retitled Dragon for US audiences.

During the presentations, Harvey Weinstein also introduced the trailer for My Week With Marilyn, starring Michelle Williams as Monroe.

When Weinstein introduced Parker, he said: ‘I wish Anthony were around to see this because I know he’d love her and I know he’d love her performance.’

The Sex and the City star, 46, said she was ‘slightly terrified’ about seeing some of the footage from the new Weinstein film – which will hit cinemas in September.

And SJP appeared to have arrived alone, as her husband Matthew Broderick was probably looking after their children.

Also attending the screening of Wu Xia was Taiwanese film star Takeshi Kaneshiro, famed for House of the Flying Daggers, and Chinese actress Wei Tang.

Wei Tang, who starred in Ang Lee’s Lust, Caution looked stunning in a pale peach gown with a plunging neckline and a pearl necklace.

The movie, which was produced in Hong Kong, will be called Swordsmen when it plays to English speaking audiences. For now the film does not have a distribution date in the US or Europe, but it is scheduled to open in China in August.
