Glowing Penelope Cruz showed off her post pregnancy curves on a day out with Javier Bardem yesterday, but the joys of parenting seem to be taking their toll on the couple.
The Spanish actors both looked a wrecked, no doubt after sleepless nights from being woken by their newborn.
New mother Penelope, 36, looked understandably tired, but blooming in her casual long sleeved T-shirt and jeans.
But the proud parents enjoyed a lunch date in California without the little one today, as they headed out to a Santa Monica eatery.
While Javier, 41, kept his attire casual too, in black jeans, a green T-shirt, black jacket and shades.
The Vanilla Sky actress gave birth to the couple’s baby boy, Leo Encinas Cruz, on January 22, just three days before Javier was nominated for an Oscar.
Bardem will attend the Oscars this Sunday after being nominated for the Best Actor award for his role in Biutiful.
It’s his third Oscar nomination, following his recognition for No Country for Old Men in 2008, for which he won Best Supporting Actor, and for his role in Before Night Falls in 2000.

Fatherhood is Javier’s main priority at the moment though and told Jay Leno earlier this month on The Tonight Show that ‘everything is going perfectly’.
Penelope and Javier started dating in 2007 after starring together in Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona, but have known each other for 19 years.
The couple first starred together in the Spanish comedy drama Jamon Jamon, when Cruz was just 18.
